Youth Team League Weekend Update

Last updated : 17 October 2011 By Thetashkentterror

Just five games on in the division this weekend and it was Tranmere who made the most of it as they thrashed Port Vale 6-1 on the road to move up to fourth place in the table. Burnley also winning away from home, sadly against Carlisle by the scoreline 1-0 with United, who have a blank Saturday next week, just unable to find the net in what was one of those games at a rainy Creighton.

Further down the table there were a couple of draws as Macclesfield at home to Wigan finished level at 1-1, while Bury picked up a point in a 3-3 draw away to Morecambe. The final match played being Accrington picking up their first win of the season thanks to a 1-0 victory at home to Oldham, that success for Stanley lifting them off the foot of the table and condemning Morecambe to the wooden spoon spot.
