After winning 4-0 at Annan on Tuesday night it was down to North Yorkshire this morning for Carlisle's youth team as they continued their pre-season preparations ahead of the start of the campaign proper on the 14th of August. The young Blues today taking on a York City outfit that they had defeated 2-1 at KitKat Crescent last year in the second round of the FA Youth Cup.

It was a tight game this time around as a Mark Beck strike twelve minutes after the interval gave United their narrow success, the lads again missing Dan Jones and Lance McGlen through injury, with James Bonner now joining those two in the treatment room. Another away friendly in Yorkshire now awaits for Carlisle on Tuesday afternoon when they visit Huddersfield, before they then travel to Hartlepool on Friday.
