United midfielder Luke Joyce spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Saturday evening as he talked about scoring his first goal for the club :

" It's nice to hear people praise me but it was a great team performance, especially in the last 20-25 minutes. It was quite a tight game up until then, then we got the second and we just got straight at them and got three more goals which is great.

" I got in the box a few times today and I played a couple of poor passes and didn't finish the move off. Whereas I saw Jeff (Smith) crossing the ball in and I just gambled, it's come over the defenders head, I just stuck my head on it and luckily it has gone in. My first ever goal, it was a fantastic feeling.

" That makes everybody sit up and take notice, look at Carlisle, we've won 5-0 today and hopefully we can keep the momentum going. It's Tranmere next which will be a tough game but hopefully we can keep going and win again.

" Everybody keeps an eye on the table and everybody looks after every game to see where we are, if we've made a point - see if it's moved us up a place. We do take every game as it comes though, we take every day as it comes in training, and we just keep one eye on the next game.

" I'm out of contract in the summer, I'd like to think that I can just keep playing and keep doing my best. Hopefully we'll sit down, because I am enjoying my time here, and hopefully I can stay for as long as possible. "
