Latics manager John Sheridan, who was speaking to Oldham's official website, talked about the game against United yesterday. Sheridan chatting about his team getting sloppy after they had scored :

"I'm very disappointed with the goal, and it's starting to get on my nerves now. I told the lads at half time to stop conceding silly free-kicks, but I don't think people are listening because they carried on doing it and it cost us. I must have said it five or six times and it has cost us the three points. What annoys me is that we actually gave away more free kicks in the second half. Some of the players just aren't listening - maybe they think they know better.

"The header for the goal was far too easy, and we have to realise that sometimes it's better to play ugly and clear your lines rather than trying to pass our way out of trouble. I was actually quite pleased with the way we played - to come to a place like Carlisle and get a point is a good result.

"We started very well, but after the goal we got really sloppy and just didn't pass the ball around as much. They didn't really cause us many problems from open play, so in that sense it's two points thrown away, but I'm certainly not disappointed with the performance."
