New United loan signing Joe Anyinsah spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Friday morning as he talked about his temporary transfer up the M6 from Preston to Carlisle :

" I'm relishing the challenge, they've rung up about me and I was excited to come here when they told me about this move. Hopefully I can get some games under my belt and be successful with Carlisle. I've got pace, I like to get in behind people, quite an exciting player, I like to take on defenders so hopefully I can get a few people off their seats.

" I was at Preston with Dennis (Booth) for a bit, so he's a good character and he's a nice person to have around the changing rooms. I'm very privileged to know Dennis, he's a good character and he's great to have around. I've got my first training session today so it should be nice to meet all the lads, I've met a couple already so hopefully I can get to know everyone and be part of it with the boys.

" I've been playing matches in the reserves but obviously it's a lot different to playing first-team football here, obviously it's another step up for me. I'll see, within a couple of games I'll be 100% fit but I'm pretty fit, as fit as I can be. I'm no different to any other youngster, I just want to get out there and play football, I haven't played first-team football for a little while so I'm just so hungry to play. It's going to be really exciting for me to come here.

" I spoke to Karl Hawley who used to be here and he told me all about it. He said that it was a great set of lads and a good club, everything he's told me seems to be good so far so hopefully I can get to know everyone and push on. "
