Leeds boss Gary McAllister spoke to the assembled press on Friday morning about his side's upcoming League One play-off semi-final against Carlisle, McAllister suggesting that it will be a closely run tie over the two legs :

" It's getting closer, everybody is fit, everybody is raring to go and there is a nice edge to training. Competition is fierce for places so it's good, everybody is looking forward. He (Jermaine Beckford) trained this morning, he looked fine and he'll have a day of rest tomorrow and then we'll be back in on Saturday and Sunday so fingers crossed on that one.

" I've got my eleven in mind, a shape and a system, I won't break away much from what we have been doing before but I've got a starting line-up. It was an exciting game when we played Carlisle here, and at the end of it I felt that we deserved to win. I think they would similar up at Carlisle, I've watched that game as well where Leeds played very well in the first-half in that game, and Carlisle turned it around at their place.

" So it's going to be close, it's going to be tight, we've just got to remain positive and go for it. It's cup tie football, it's a home and away leg, I look to the experiences that I had with Gerrard Houlier at Liverpool, fantastic cup runs in the UEFA Cup. We've got Steve Staunton who has progressed in things like this as well so we've got plenty of experience. It's 180 minutes and there is no need to panic if things go wrong early in the first game, it'll be tough for the entire period. "
