United striker Derek Holmes spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Saturday evening as he gave his opinion on the 1-1 draw at home to the Latics. Holmes talking about his late leveller in the game :

" All credit to Oldham, they've done well this season. I thought it wasn't the best performance but we'll take something from the game, it was nice to get a point. It's all battling for places here, and the manager has always stressed that if you play well then you keep the jersey, so hopefully I'll get a cause to play now. That's what he (Neil McDonald) gets paid for though - to pick the team and hopefully I'll get picked.

" Sometimes you get frustrated but we work hard all week, and all I've got to do is just keep taking my chances when I come off the bench. The last couple of times I have come on I have thought I have done quite well and today obviously I've popped up with a goal. You never know for next week.

" It was a fantastic cross (from Zigor Aranalde), I thought in the second half that he played really well. We got a few chances and didn't quite manage to tuck them away. In the end, I think it was with five minutes to go, it was a great ball in from Ziggy, I was in the right place and thankfully it went in.

" We know that we haven't played well but again the manager has always stressed that we have to stick together. He came in today and said it was a good point with us not playing well, earlier in the season we have been playing well and haven't been picking anything up. We've gone out today, and, as I say, we haven't played well but we've come away from the game with a point so we're glad. "
