Kelly: Returns from 3-game ban
United welcome back centre-half Darren Kelly into their squad for the last game of the season at home to AFC Bournemouth tomorrow. Kelly has missed the last three games because of suspension but is back in contention for the season finale at Brunton Park.

Peter Murphy and Lee Andrews have been filling in in Kelly's absence and manager Roddy Collins may choose to stick with that combination, as veteran Paul Raven is out following his early departure from the game at Gay Meadow on Tuesday night.

Midfielder Mark Summerbell misses out through a ban picked up for his sending off in the last home game with Rushden. With injuries mounting for the Cumbrians, first team physio Neil Dalton is on stand-by for a place on the bench.

Bournemouth have clinched a play-off spot but will be keen to clinch one of the top two berths as this guarantees them a home game in the second leg of the semi-finals. They are currently in fourth place, one point above Bury.

United could finish anywhere between 17th and 22nd depending on results tomorrow. They need a win to match their points tally of last season.

With Shrewsbury already down, the last relegation place is between Swansea and Exeter. The Swans are at home to Hull City at Vetch Field while the Exes take on Southend at St James's Park. Swansea need a win to send Exeter down. If Exeter win and Swansea draw or they draw and Swansea lose, it will be the Welshmen waving goodbye to the Football League.

The only other issue to be settled is the last play-off spot, which is between Lincoln City and Oxford United. Lincoln need just a point at home to Torquay to clinch it, but if they lose and Oxford beat York at home, Oxford will take the final slot.

Shrewsbury's final league game for the time being will be at home to Scunthorpe United, ironically the first team they played in the league back in 1950. The Iron are assured of a play-off place.

Jimmy Glass is guest of honour

United hero Jimmy Glass will be back at Brunton Park tomorrow as the club's guest of honour.

Glass, whose injury-time goal kept Carlisle in the league four years ago, last visited Carlisle on the opening day of the campaign when he was made a life member of the club along with Sixties legend Hughie McIlmoyle.

Glass, who now lives and works in Bournemouth, will also attend the Supporters' Club annual presentation awards dinner at the Shepherds Inn on Sunday evening.

He left a message of congratulation here on the CUFC Online messageboard just minutes after the Cumbrians had achieved the life-saving 3-2 victory at Shrewsbury on Tuesday night.
