Dagenham & Redbridge have the only 100 per cent record in the Conference after three games.

The Londoners won 3-1 at Burton Albion to move two points clear at the top. The sending off of Ashley Vickers was the only bad spot for the Daggers, who won with goals from John Taylor, Mark Janney and Craig Mackail-Smith. Burton's player manager Nigel Clough replied for the home side who are second from bottom with just one point. The result was perhaps a little harsh on Albion who made most of the running but were constantly hit on the break.

The biggest gate of the day, 2602, saw Hereford go second after easily seeing off home team York at Bootham Crescent. Last season's Conference runners-up won 3-0 with goals from Danny Williams and a David Brown double.

Performance of the day has to go to Stevenage Borough who hammered Accrington Stanley 5-0 to end the Lancashire outfit's 100% start to the season. Former Peterborough striker Richie Hanlon, who scored the goal in 2000 at Chester that kept Carlisle up at the expense of the home team, was on target for Graham Westley's side, as were Quailey, Goodliffe (2) and Flack.

Newly promoted Crawley Town showed they can hack it at Conference level with perhaps the shock result of the day, a 1-0 home triumph over last season's beaten play-off finalists Aldershot Town at the Broadfield Stadium. Charlie McDonald was the hero for Crawley with the winning goal on 62 minutes.

Scarborough veteran Neil Redfearn, who has had more clubs than Tiger Woods, notched up his third goal of the campaign to clinch a victory for the Seadogs at Farnborugh. The results allowed the North Yorkshire club to get over their midweek loss at Halifax and moved them up to fifth spot.

Comeback of the day had to be Barnet's who fought back from 2-0 down at half-time to win 3-2 at the Shay against Halifax Town. Town looked to be strolling it with goals from Dean Howell and Mark Monington inside the first 35 minutes. But the North Londoners showed great spirit in the second half to maintain their unbeaten record and move into 3rd place in the table. Steve Haslam sliced into his own goal on 50 minutes to make it 2-1, and then the Bees main marksmen Liam Hatch and Giuilano Grazioli struck two goals in a minute to stun the Shaymen.

Canvey Island are still unbeaten after three games. Last season's Ryman League champions and top goalscorers were in all sorts of trouble at home to Tamworth as they fell two goals behind to Lee Colkin and Neil Ross strikes. But they came from behind with scoring sensation Lee Boylan netting twice, including a penalty. Leading 3-2 though, they were pegged back by a 71st minute leveller from Tamworth's Tris Whitman.
