Richie Foran: Back to face Celts
United have organised a friendly against Celtic for tomorrow night at Brunton Park (7pm kick off).

The match will give Roddy Collins the chance to assess several players who are on trial at the club including strikers David Freeman and Grant Holt, defender Des Byrne and midfielder Hamid Barr. It will also be an opportunity for returning players Richie Foran and Brian Shelley to regain match fitness after missing three games through suspension. The shot-shy Cumbrians have scored just three goals in 7 games - the lowest in Division Three to date.

Celtic are expected to bring a strong reserve side, although no regular first-teamers are expected to be involved. Martin O'Neill's men have been Scottish Champions for the past two seasons but crashed out of the UEFA Champions League a fortnight ago with an aggregate defeat at the hands of Swiss club Basle.

Admission will be £5 for Adults and £1 for Concessions with only Paddock turnstiles open. Tickets can also be bought for the main stand.

Meanwhile the Cumbrians take on Rotherham United tonight in the First Round of the Worthington Cup at Millmoor. Trevor Molloy is back from suspension to strengthen the attack and he is being tipped to start with teenager Marc Nixon who impressed against Rochdale last Friday.

"It is a chance to get Trevor back playing and a chance to use up the other suspensions. It will be good for the players to play another game together, especially when it is not a league game. It would still be nice to get a draw, though, and get Rotherham back up here," said Roddy Collins.

The Millers are expected to field in-form partnership of Mark Robins and Darren Byfield up front.

Police hunting for an escaped fugitive have been studying CCTV footage taken at Brunton Park on Friday evening.

The man police are looking for, who goes by the name of Mike Chelsea, was spotted sitting in the East Stand during Carlisle's home clash with Rochdale. Chelsea absconded from police custody in Glasgow last month. He was being held on remand awaiting trial for the attempted armed robbery of a fish and chip shop in Stenhousemuir. Chelsea is alleged to have held up the shop with a courgette concealed under a handkerchief.

He has been spotted at other football grounds during the past few weeks, including a claimed sighting at Newcastle's St. James's Park during a friendly match against Barcelona. Police have warned members of the public not to approach Chelsea, who is said to be "armed and dangerous". He has attempted several robberies before armed with different fruits and vegetables, including bananas, potatoes and a cucumber. He has been treated for mental illnesses twice during the past five years.

When he was last seen he was wearing a blue sweat shirt and pale jacket. He has thinning hair and a thin moustache. Police have also issued a photo fit.

Chief Inspector Kevin McDare of Strathclyde Police said they received information from a member of the public that Chelsea was at large in the Carlisle area. They have set up several road blocks since in an attempt to recapture him. Anyone with any information about Mike Chelsea should ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
