Fairclough
Barnet boss, Paul Fairclough, who was speaking exclusively to the Bees' official club website, www.barnetfc.co.uk, talks about the need to get plenty of home fans in against Carlisle in their efforts to complete a double over the Cumbrians this season. He also mentioned the threat caused by the in-form Karl Hawley and Michael Bridges :

"Grab hold of a friend...bring him with you and indoctrinate him into Barnet and help us drag the three points off the pitch, from the terraces and into the changing room.

"If you want the club to do well then you have to support them - it is an unconditional love. The supporters need to show the same solidarity as last year when we picked up the championship and we can do it again now.

"It will be our first chance of a double this season but since that game Paul Simpson has done a fantastic job. To achieve what they have is superb and I have to admire that. They will go up this season - of that I have no doubt.

"Karl Hawley is an amazing kid ... and has been a revelation this season. He is sharp around the box and a dangerous player. He is one, along with Michael Bridges, who we will have to keep an eye on."

The Bees go into the game with plenty of injury and suspension worries :

Ross Flitney, Barnet's 21-year-old first choice goalkeeper, is rated as doubtful for the United clash because of a throat infection, the young glovesman missing training on Thursday having been put on a course of antibiotics.

Matt Reed, their 19-year-old goalkeeper on loan from West Ham United, stands by to make his League debut if Flitney is ruled out.

Better news for the Bees coaching staff is that 40-year-old Andy Hessenthaler is fit again after missing the last two games with a calf strain. Striker Liam Hatch is also available for selection having come through a reserve team game at Colchester United on Wednesday.

Other players unavailable for selection on Saturday afternoon are :

Richard Graham : A week or two away from full fitness having had a knee operation in December which hasn’t healed as quickly as expected.

Simon King: Again, a week or two away from full fitness with a knee problem, this time a medial ligament injury.

Damian Batt : Out for the foreseeable future with a mystery calf problem that doesn’t seem to be getting any better.

Stevland Angus : Has a long standing groin strain which is not getting better at the moment.

Barnet will be without Lee Roache as well who has joined Southern Premier Division strugglers Chesham United on a month's loan, having recently completed a similar spell with Conference South side Yeading.

The 21-year-old scored in two reserve games for the Bees earlier this week, before being snapped up by new Chesham boss Luther Blissett. Roache though has been restricted to only six League Two appearances for Paul Fairclough's side this season.

Newly purchased striker from Heybridge Swifts, Tresor Kandol, will also be missing for the Hertfordshire outfit as he is serving out a one-match suspension for an accumulation of five yellow cards.
