The Cumbrians face a trip to West Yorkshire on Tuesday night hoping to improve on a record of two wins, two draws and four defeats in their eight matches played at Elland Road over the years.
Last season in League One Carlisle made it two victories in a row, after 33 years without one, with a 2-0 win at the home of the Whites. The goals for the Cumbrians coming in an eight minute spell around the half-hour mark in the game through first Danny Graham then Michael Bridges as 22,411 fans looked on.
The worst defeat for Carlisle at Leeds was a 3-0 reverse back in the old Division Two in season 1983-84, a campaign in which the Blues eventually finished an excellent seventh in the table on the back of only two home league defeats. Away form was a bit patchier though and goals from Mark Gavin, Andy Ritchie and George McCluskey saw the home side gain all three points in front of only 8,278 spectators.
