History of the Carlisle United v Cheltenham Town fixture

Carlisle welcome Cheltenham to Cumbria tomorrow, hoping to improve on a record of five draws, two wins and one defeat at Brunton Park against the Robins.

Those two wins for United have come in the last two seasons in League One, 2-0 in 2006-07 thanks to goals from Kevin Gall and Karl Hawley in front of 7,248 spectators, while last season the Blues were victorious 1-0 when Danny Livesey netted an injury time winner as 6,125 fans looked on.

Recent respective form guides

Carlisle's poor home run has seen them win just one and draw two of their last six matches at Brunton Park. The Cumbrians having scored eight goals in these games, but conceded an alarming ten.

Cheltenham's away form is none too clever either, picking up just one victory and one draw from their last six games played away from Whaddon Road. While the Robins have scored five goals, a massive 13 have hit the back of the wrong net.

Carlisle find themselves struggling down in 18th position in League One having picked up 17 points from their 16 matches played to date. Cheltenham meanwhile are even worse off as they are second bottom in the division with a return of just 11 points from their 16 games contested thus far.
