The Blues face a trip to Gloucestershire tomorrow evening having won twice in seven attempts away to Cheltenham.
The most recent encounter between the two sides was less than a year ago, in February 2007, with Carlisle inflicting a narrow 1-0 defeat on the Robins in a League One match. The only goal of the game coming from Joe Garner after just 15 minutes in front of 3,831 spectators.
With the Robins only coming into the Football League in August 1999 games between the two sides have been limited over the years. Apart from that win last season though Carlisle won their previous league game at Whaddon Road, that being a 3-2 win in the 2005-06 League Two title-winning campaign.
Meanwhile the Robins have won two matches by a two goal margin and three by a one goal margin against the Blues. None of the seven games contested between the two sides at Whaddon Road having ended in a draw.
