Leyton Orient suffered their heaviest defeat of the season going down 3-0 to lowly Carlisle United.
Craig Farrell opened the scoring with a first time side foot strike from 12 yards out after Richie Foran had got the better of Billy Jones to whip in a cross.
A magnificent 35-yard strike by Lee Maddison flew past Scott Barrett in to the top right hand corner of the net for United’s second.
The Cumbrians made it three when Foran dispossessed Lee Thorpe to release Farrell for a run on goal, and he rounded the keeper to net his 10th of the season.
Farrell could have had hat-trick but Jones shepherded him away from the danger zone and later he blasted a shot over the bar from the edge of the box, after Brendan McGill unlocked the visiting defence.
Orient were awarded an 86th minute penalty after Peter Murphy was caught climbing all over Dean Smith. Mathew Lockwood hit his penalty low to Matt Glennon’s left but the keeper was equal to it.
Glennon produced an even better save in the dying minutes turning Jabo Ibehre's header round the post with a one handed save.
Disappointed Orient manager Paul Brush said: "We were second best for 20 minutes in the second half and conceded two goals. I think Carlisle had one shot before that.
“Their first goal was due to our defensive error but the second was a wonder goal. It raised their morale.
“It was a difficult pitch and you had to keep it simple but we didn’t adjust to the conditions.
“I'm not looking forward to the seven hours on the bus home going through the game in my head." A happy Carlisle boss Roddy Collins said " Something clicked today I hope it’s the start of a run for us, it was great.
“I was praying for the second goal and when it came I felt comfortable and you could see the surge of confidence in our players.
“Maddison's goal was a cracker. When you see quality like that you know there is nothing to worry about!"
