Zoko late show denies Wanderers

Wycombe's brave resistance was finally broken when substitute Francois Zoko's late header clinched Carlisle a 2-2 home draw.

Rory Loy had grabbed an early lead for Carlisle before Anthony McMamee equalised in spectacular fashion for the Chairboys and on-loan Fulham striker Marcello Trotta gave the visitors the lead before half-time.

Carlisle dominated after the break and substitute Zoko's far-post effort got them back on level terms with just four minutes to play.

It took Carlisle less than two minutes to go ahead when Lee Miller's knock-down from Jon-Paul McGovern's cross fell perfectly for Loy to stab the ball past goalkeeper Nikki Bull from close range.

Joel Grant forced Adam Collin to save brilliantly before Trotta rattled the woodwork with the goalkeeper beaten and it was no surprise when Wycombe levelled in the 28th minute with a stunning individual effort from McNamee, whose 30-yard curler left Collin flat-footed as it flew into the top left-hand corner.

Wycombe made it 2-1 in the 38th minute when McNamee and Stuart Beavon combined to provide Trotta with the opening to drive a shot from the left-hand side of the box across the keeper and in at the far post, but McGovern curled in a cross from the right with four minutes left and Zoko leapt to head home from six yards.
