Carlisle 2-1 Northampton: Match Report - view commentary, squad, and statistics of the game as it happened.Potts gives Cumbrians three pointsBrad Potts' seventh goal of the season was enough to secure a 2-1 win for Carlisle against Northampton in an entertaining game at Brunton Park.Potts' strike around the hour mark means the Cumbrians jumped out of the relegation zone and leapfrogged both Tranmere and York.An even first half saw Carlisle keeper Dan Hanford make two excellent saves to deny Darren Carter from long range, while Danny Grainger went close for the hosts with a 40-yard strike that Matt Duke parried away.The home side took the lead on 16 minutes when Troy Archibald-Henville grabbed his first goal for the club with a flicked header on the edge of the six-yard box from Kyle Dempsey's corner.The Cobblers equalised in the fourth minute of first-half injury time as Marc Richards converted from the penalty spot after David Amoo tripped Evan Horwood.Carlisle started the second half brightly and got their reward on 62 minutes when Potts flicked the ball into the net after a low cross from Amoo on the right.Derek Asamoah could have made the scoreline a more comfortable one but his half-volley from another excellent Amoo cross flew inches wide of Duke's post, with the Cobblers keeper making an excellent save from a flicked Mark Beck header off a Grainger long throw late on too
