Today's big game in North Wales finished in a 1-1 draw, and with Burnley losing 3-1 at Walsall the title race hasn't really changed much after the results today. Carlisle, with Matt Duffy finally making his comeback from a niggling ankle injury and therefore Steven Swinglehurst dropping down to the substitutes bench, making a good start to proceedings.

The young Blues taking the lead as early as the 13th minute when Duffy and Conor Tinnion combined from a free-kick to stick a ball into the Wrexham box which saw striker James Reid get in behind the defenders to fire home low into the bottom corner. That being Reid's first goal in Carlisle colours since he joined the club on non-contract terms just over a week ago.

The home side equalised though five minutes before the break with a fortunate goal from their perspective. Tom Aldred's attempted tackle from a long ball down the middle flying off the boot of Red Dragons forward Obi Anoruo and beyond the reach of Cumbrians goalkeeper Alex Mitchell.

Carlisle did have a few chances to win the game after the interval through Ryan Bowman and substitute Chris McDougall but no more goals were forthcoming and both sides claimed a point apiece. Next week United are back on home turf when they face Chester City in an 11am kick-off on Saturday morning, the venue for that fixture yet to be confirmed.
