Andy Cook - hat-trick
Carlisle though went one goal behind early on in the game when a Rochdale striker got in behind the United defence to strike a crisp shot past Blues goalkeeper Alex Mitchell. Andy Cook pulling Carlisle level on 24 minutes when he got on the end of a Steven Swinglehurst header at a free-kick to send his own header over the 'Dale line from six yards out.

United then quickly took the lead only four minutes later when Matt Duffy sent in an excellent cross from the left which Cook was able to head powerfully into the back of the Rochdale net. The Blues striker grabbing his hat-trick after 52 minutes when, after being put through the middle by a Liam Davison pass, he fired home a well-placed shot.

The last goal of the game coming as early as the 57th minute when Cook could have made it seven goals for the season as he made an excellent run forward.
