Preston Youth 3-1 United Youth

The game was played at Myerscough College at Bilsborrow near Preston where the United lads had spent a week training while playing matches against Everton and North End. Two games in three days after a few days hard work inbetween was always going to be a tough ask though as Carlisle found themselves 3-0 down at half-time.

After the break the Blues youngsters picked up a little bit with new striker Andrew Cook pulling a goal back with a header from a Matthew Wood corner. No more scoring came from either team however with the home side running out easy 3-1 winners in the end, the game still serving a good purpose for the Cumbrians though as a fitness and tactical exercise.
