Morecambe Youth 2-6 United Youth

Carlisle carried on their good pre-season form today as they knocked Morecambe for six to gain their third win in a row, but the score was still level at 0-0 going into the break after strike partners Ryan Bowman and James Reid has missed a hatful of chances for United.

Bowman soon made up for that though two minutes into the second-half when he opened the scoring, the goals then raining in for the Cumbrians as the scoreline soon became 6-0 as Bowman scored another four and Mark Sloan also got his name on the scoresheet.

The young Blues seemingly took pity on Morecambe after that though as Carlisle sadly scored two own goals to make the final scoreline 6-2, Ben Richards-Everton and Steven Swinglehurst the unlucky defensive pair involved. United do though get their next chance to keep a clean sheet on Tuesday when their pre-season campaign continues at Sheffield Wednesday.

Starting line-up :

Mark Gillespie (Jon Ball 60), James Wood, Ben Richards-Everton, Sean Law, Kieran Cahill, Ben McKenna, Phil Towler (Steven Swinglehurst 46), Liam Davison, Matt Osmond, James Reid (Mark Sloan 46), Ryan Bowman.

A number of other substitutions were made during the game to give the whole squad a run-out.
