Reserves League Round-Up This Week

Tranmere and Accrington Stanley having the advantage of playing their game on Monday night at Shawbridge, Clitheroe FC, Rovers winning on the road 2-1. Terry Gornell putting the visitors ahead on 14 minutes before the Reds equalised shortly before the interval. The Whites then holding onto the lead this time when Gornell scored his second goal of the match ten minutes into the second half.

Moving onto Wednesday and the cold weather meant all three games were postponed, that including Carlisle's scheduled game away to Preston at the QED Stadium, Bamber Bridge FC. Next week there are hopefully three games on in the division, including United at home to Accrington Stanley, while Preston need only a draw on their own soil against Bradford City to make it into the semi-finals of the League Cup.
