Reserves League Round-Up This Week

In the top of the table clash at Stainton Park, Radcliffe Borough, Rochdale closed the gap on Carlisle to two points with two games in hand. In a match of few chances for either side, Callum Byrne scoring the only goal of the afternoon for the home side just after the half-hour mark with a close range side-footed finish that United goalkeeper Mark Gillespie will be thinking he could have done better with.

Meanwhile, in the League Cup, Morecambe hammered Oldham 4-0 on the road at Hyde United's Ewen Fields. The Shrimps scoring twice in the first half through a brace of goals from Dave Artell, before Wayne Curtis did the same after the interval to complete the rout for Morecambe.
