The one at the top end of the table being third-placed Burnley thumping Tranmere 4-0 at home, the match being played at Accrington's Fraser Eagle Stadium. The Clarets goals all coming in the second-half with two players bagging a brace apiece, the duo being youngsters Wes Fletcher and Michael King.

Stanley meanwhile were away from their ground playing at Rochdale, that game taking place at Dark Lane, the home of Rossendale United FC.
