Third placed Burnley are supposed to play their home games at Accrington Stanley's Fraser Eagle Stadium, but with that pitch out of action they switched their game with Morecambe to Christie Park in a effort to make a dent in their large fixture backlog.

Wes Fletcher gave the "visiting" Clarets the lead the twice in the first-half, with Aaron Taylor grabbing a goal inbetween for the Shrimps, Taylor then scoring again in injury time at the end of the game to ensure that honours finished even at 2-2.

Elsewhere in the division Tranmere and Rochdale also shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Prenton Park. Christopher Blakeley gave 'Dale the lead in the 55th minute only for Josh Macauley to equalise with just four minutes to go, Macauley slamming home the rebound after he had seen his initial penalty saved.

Next week sees every team in the league in action as five fixtures take place on Wednesday afternoon and evening. The United second-string making a trip down the coast to face fourth-placed Blackpool in a 7pm kick-off at a still half built Bloomfield Road.
