Reserves League Round-Up This Week

Preston are third after defeating Bury 1-0 at home in a match played at Chorley's Victory Park, Neil Dougan scoring the only goal of the game after eight minutes. Rochdale meanwhile drew 2-2 at home to Blackpool at Rossendale United's Dark Lane. Andy Brown and Joe Reidy netting for the 'Dale as Danny Mitchley and Lewis Almond replied for the Seasiders.

Morecambe's game with Burnley was postponed due to the Clarets being on Carling Cup duty at Chelsea on the same evening, while Accrington Stanley's game with Manchester City was also rearranged for later in the season. As we already know Carlisle went to the top of the table after defeating Tranmere 2-1 at home, the United goals coming from Michael Bridges and Gary Madine. The Blues next week facing a tough fixture away to second placed Burnley.
