Rangers Reserves 2-1 United Reserves

It was the usual near 50-50 mix of youth team players and professionals in the Blues line-up this afternoon at the Rangers training complex, with one of the youngsters, in second year YTS midfielder Josh Todd scoring the opening goal of the game for the Cumbrians in the 15th minute. Rangers though, with plenty of trialists on show as the January transfer window comes to a close, making it 1-1 at the break when Gregg Wylde netted.

Wylde then after the break grabbing his second goal of the game, this time from a contentious penalty award, to end the scoring on the day. The game from a Carlisle perspective seeing both Stephen O'Halloran and Andy Welsh play the whole 90 minutes as they complete their comebacks form injury, but Craig Curran is seemingly still not ready to step up his rehabilitation from training to match action.
