It was the usual mix of youth and experience in the Carlisle squad in Glasgow this afternoon, with there also being a trialist in the Cumbrians ranks in Michael Lee, a 20-year-old left back from Longford Town who will stay at Brunton Park on trial for the rest of the week. It was another one of the younger players that impressed early on too as Mark Gillespie did well to save a Rory Loy spot-kick.

Loy though making no mistake with another penalty in the second-half though to give the Gers the lead. United then having a reasonable spell of pressure at 1-0 down before Loy made it 2-0 on the break late in the game to make sure the victory went the way of the home side.
