Chester Reserves 1-1 United Reserves

It was a quick turnaround for the Cumbrians this week with the reserve game at the Deva Stadium, Chester being played at 2pm on a Monday afternoon. The draw does neither side much favour in the table to be honest in what proved to be a game in which the home side had the better of the chances and should really have taken all three points.

City went ahead as early as the eighth minute through Craig Reid, a trialist striker from Chelteham Town, after some good approach work by Paul McManus and ex-Blue Kevin Sandwith. United grabbing an equaliser late on when Danny Carlton converted a cross into the Chester box, United keeper Chris Howarth having kept Carlisle in the game with some excellent saves by that point.
