Celtic Reserves 7-0 United Reserves

With the difference in quality between the two sides on show it was always going to be one hell of a tough ask for the Blues to get anything result-wise out of this second behind closed doors friendly of the season between the two sides at Celtic's Lennoxtown training facility. Paddy McCourt and Bahrudin Atajic both getting two goals apiece, while Joe Chalmers also got himself on the scoresheet to make the scoreline 5-0 to the home side at half-time, with Paddy Madden blazing a penalty over the top for Carlisle from a United perspective.

The Hoops thankfully easing off a little after the break as they only scored twice, through Paul George and John Herron, to make the final score 7-0. As far as the Blues were concerned, there were two trialists involved today, the first being Florida native Christian Eissele who was invited up from the International Academic & Soccer Academy to play in the game, and the second being Australian-born left-back Greg King who flew in to join United on trial on Monday morning, and will now stay with the club for a ten day period.
