Carlisle United moved up a place to 20th in the league after a 1-0 win away at Morecambe. The Blues started with Courtney Meppen-Walter in midfield as Keith Curle continued to ring the changes. Carlisle survived early pressure to come back strongly in the middle of the first half and provided chances of their own through Potts and Amoo, but the half finished 0-0. The second period started brightly and in the 50th minute Carlisle scored through a shot from close in from David Amoo, following good work from Brad Potts. Morecambe responded with constant pressure and came close to equalising several times in an increasing tetchy game, but outstanding performances from Archibald Henville and Anderson kept the sheet clean.
