Zigor Aranalde
33-year old defender Aranalde now joins Simon Hackney, Danny Livesey, Keiren Westwood, Paul Arnison and Chris Lumsdon who have all recently agreed 12-month contract extensions with the club. Ziggy joined the Blues in the summer of 2005 after being released by Walsall, and has made 64 appearances for the Cumbrians to date, while also chipping in with a healthy five goals along the way.

On the new deal for Aranalde, manager Neil McDonald told the club's official website : " I'm really pleased to get Zigor signed up with us, his ability and attitude makes him one of the first names on the team sheet, and it's great that he's committed to the Club for another spell. He's great to work with, a real professional, and a decent example for any player. It's good news for us."
