Used To Be Horwood, Now It's Norwood

The Burnley-born set-piece specialist has linked up with the Blues for that timescale following the news that skipper Paul Thirlwell is to be sidelined for up to four weeks with a medial ligament strain. Norwood, who has yet to make a senior appearance at first-team level for any club after turning professional with Manchester United in the summer of 2009, joining Old Trafford team-mate James Chester at Brunton Park.

Oliver has been with the Red Devils since the age of eight and internationally started off his career with England at under-17 level in 2007 where he picked up three caps before, due to his parentage, switching to Northern Ireland in 2009. Norwood having now appeared for the Wee Country at under-19, under-21 and 'B' level where he was capped eight games and scored seven goals, mainly from dead ball situations.

The 19-year old making his debut at full international level in August of this year when he came on as a substitute in a friendly match away to Montenegro. It's slightly different climes for Norwood now though as he looks all set to make his full club debut at Brunton Park this coming Saturday in place of the injured Thirlwell as the Blues take on Brighton.
