United End Of Season Awards

Home-grown Brad Potts was hailed as Carlisle United’s shining light from a poor campaign at the Blues’ end-of-season awards night.

The 20-year-old midfielder scooped four prizes at the annual ceremony at the Shepherd’s Inn, Rosehill.

Potts was named United’s player of the year by Carlisle’s London Branch supporters and United’s season ticket holders.

He took home a further award for winning the most man-of-the-match awards in home games in the 2013/14 season.

And he also shared the United Trust’s vote for their top player of the season along with David Amoo.

Top scorer Amoo, the News & Star’s player of the year, was voted players’ player of the season by his team-mates.

The goal of the season was voted by supporters who attended Sunday’s event and there was a landslide victory for former loan star Tom LawrenBrad Potts The Big Winnerce.

His brilliant solo goal in the 4-1 win against Tranmere won the poll.

Other awards were claimed by Dave Symington, named community player of the season, Patrick Brough, YTS player of the season, and Jake Chisholm, YTS players’ player of the season.
