Following Alex Salmon's signing of his contract offer last week, central midfielder Todd has now become the second player to sign up for the Cumbrians next season. Todd having already earned a one year professional contract after he came through the youth team at the end of the 2011-12 campaign, and he has now extended that deal by another 12 months.

With the emergence of his fellow first year professionals Mark Beck, Brad Potts and Dave Symington last season though things didn't go to plan for the 18-year old Todd as he suffered early in the campaign with a hamstring injury, meaning he made just one first team appearance last season. Blues boss Greg Abbott though has given the Canonbie-based teenager the benefit of the doubt and so Josh remains at Brunton Park for another 12 months.
