St Bees Are Buzzing For United

After hammering Wetheriggs United 9-0 at Brunton Park this evening Carlisle's 'prize' is a 40 mile trip down the west coast to take on Tesco Cumberland County League Division One side St Bees at the Adams Recreation Ground. St Bees having only won once in nine league games this season, and that was against their reserve side, although they did manage to win 3-0 on the road at Westmorland Association Football League Division Two side Langwathby United to reach the third round of the Cumberland Cup.

Elsewhere in the draw Penrith are the biggest club left alive, bar cup holders Carlisle, after they won 7-0 at Greystoke in round two, Workington Reds though exiting the competition at that stage as they went down 2-0 away to Warwick Wanderers's Saturday team. The heaviest scoring winners to reach the third round stage meanwhile being Longtown after they thumped Penrith Saints 12-0 at home.
