Nicholson Not The Answer For United

Nicholson in Boston colours
Nicholson, 19 was released by West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 2007 after seeing out his scholarship there. The winger then moving to Boston for a short spell until that deal was cut short due to Nicholson, who is apparently based in Newcastle, having larger travelling expenses than the cash-strapped Pilgrims could afford to pay.

He then switched to Workington in late August, but once more travelling problems caused him to be let go by the Reds just before Christmas. Nicholson, who doesn't drive, not able to make as many training sessions as boss Darren Edmondson would have liked due to time issues.

Since then Nicholson has been plying his trade with Newcastle Blue Star in his native North-East, although he did actually go lower than that at one point after spending a spell on loan at Bedlington Terriers. As for his trial with Carlisle, Nicholson played the first 45 minutes of the 4-0 win over Kendal Town tonight, he seemed to have a little bit of pace but we certainly need to be setting our trialist sights higher you have to think.
