Krause Swaps Rushden For Crawley

Blue Square Premier side Rushden and Diamonds have decided to release James Krause with the 20-year-old defender subsequently signing for league rivals Crawley Town on a free transfer. Krause signed for Rushden on a free transfer this summer and featured in a number of pre-season friendlies, largely as a substitute.

However, he has failed to break into the first team in their Blue Square Premier campaign and has been released by manager Garry Hill. The former Ipswich Town Academy player has decided to join up with Steve Evans' men at Crawley Town and could be cleared in time to make his debut against Northwich Victoria on Saturday afternoon.

The Bury St. Edmunds defender spent a largely unsuccessful six-month spell at Brunton Park last season on his release from Ipswich Town. Krause eventually being released by then Blues boss Neil McDonald after making just three starts for the United first-team.
