"There isn't a back-up at right-back with Paul Arnison moving on to Bradford, there isn't at this moment, but I have just spoken to someone tonight. Maybe when we come back from Scotland there will be a younger guy coming in for a bit of a trial period with us and he can play that position. So that is something that we are looking at and trying to improve."

Were the words John Ward spoke to Radio Cumbria ten days ago and so the official news comes today that Cameron is now taking part in Carlisle's pre-season preparations. The London-born youngster perhaps ready to feature in United's next friendly, that being away to Chester tomorrow night.

Little seems to be out there about the qualities of Cameron but he has apparently been a regular in Fulham's youth and reserve sides last season before being released in the summer. One thing of note is that the 18-year old played for Yeovil reserves as a trialist, along with former Chelsea star Jody Morris, in January this year.
