United frontman Kevin Gall
Carlisle's forgotten man has moved to Vale Park this morning for his second temporary spell away from Brunton Park this season, Gall having spent a pretty unsuccessful loan period at Lincoln City early in the campaign which was ended early by Imps boss Peter Jackson. Kevin having made just 11 appearances in three months at Sincil Bank before being sent back to United before his loan was meant to end in early January.

The 27-year old spent a spell barren of goals late last season for Darlington before returning to Brunton Park in mid-March. Gall, out of contract at the end of the current campaign, having obviously played his last match in Carlisle colours, that game being just over a year ago when he was a substitute away to Doncaster on the 12th January 2008.

Gall commenting to the official Port Vale website on his move down the M6 today :

"I am looking forward to being involved again. It has been a bit frustrating this season really and I am looking forward to being about again and getting games. There are quite a few games coming up and hopefully I will be involved, trying to help Port Vale win some games and get back on track.

"People say I am very quick and I hope to give an extra dimension to the Port Vale team and hopefully I can do well for the club. It is a big club and they shouldn't be where they are. I think if everybody digs in together we can turn it around.

"It is a good chance to get first team football again and I am excited about the chance to do so. I have heard god things about the manager and the lads. Lee Matthews looks after me and he has told be good things about the club.

"Lee has looked after my interests for a while. I have known him for years and years and I know he enjoyed his time at Port Vale. He rang me on Monday morning to tell me there was a chance of coming down to Port Vale for a month for six or seven games and said he thought I should go, and without even thinking about it we said yes and I came down last night."
