The three 18-year olds have excelled in pre-season, and the season itself, since signing 12-month professional deals in the summer following their graduation from the youth team. Striker Beck, right-back Potts and right-winger Symington having had their big moment on the stage last Tuesday night in the Capital One Cup victory over Ipswich where the introduction of Beck and Symington changed the game in Carlisle's favour.

Potts had also started the game, but one player who isn't in the limelight for the Cumbrians at the moment is the remaining first-year professional in Josh Todd. The midfielder also having signed a 12-month deal in the summer only to have his pre-season blighted by a hamstring problem, Todd now out on loan at Workington Reds and no doubt now hoping to push on and emulate his three young team-mates by earning a further contract to the summer of 2015.
