Kinder now taking on a new post as the under-21 and reserve team coach at Ewood Park, the highly respected youth boss having initially joined Carlisle from his beloved Blackburn Rovers way back in the summer of 2006 now. The most memorable moment for the youngsters under Kinder's reign being that remarkable 2-1 win away to Manchester United in the 2008-09 FA Youth Cup campaign.
These days eight of Kinder's charges, in Mark Beck, Mark Gillespie, Brandon Gwinnutt, Jack Lynch, Brad Potts, Alex Salmon, Dave Symington and Josh Todd, are currently in the Carlisle squad as a reminder of the hard work Eric has put in during his time at Brunton Park. On a personal level I can't speak highly enough of the man for his friendly and professional attitude and he will be missed by all associated with United.
