Carlisle United End Of Season Awards

The 22-year old midfielder scooped four awards on a thoroughly enjoyable awards evening. Berrett taking the CUFC Online player of the season award, the News and Star player of the season award, the BBC Radio Cumbria player of the season award and the top prize of the Carlisle United Football Club Player of the season award .

Coming in joint place second were Ben Marshall and Peter Murphy who who took home two awards apeice. Stoke-loanee Marshall winning both the coveted Players' Player of the season trophy and the London Branch Supporters Club Player of the season award, while Murphy's two gongs came as player of the season by United’s away supporters and the Blues’ supporters club.

Marc Bridge-Wilkinson and Chris Lumsdon shared the Peter Jackson Player of the season trophy, with both midfielders having an equal number of man-of-the-match awards from this season's home games. Back in the defensive line was right-back David Raven who took one prize on the night, that being the coveted Players' Player of the season trophy.

In the youth ranks frontman Ben Mckenna won the trophy for youth player of the season and centre-half Brad Potts grabbed the award as most improved youth player. There was also recognition for Cumbrians stadium manager David Mitchell who recently won the League One groundsman of the year award.

Fellow strikers Craig Curran and Francois Zoko shared the Peter Jackson player of the season trophy, with both players having an equal number of man-of-the-match awards from this season's home games. While Zoko also won the only other trophy that was available, that being the Goal of the season award that was voted for on the night by those present. Zoko's overhead kick in the 1-0 home win over Hartlepool in early March ending up as the winner there.
