Coming second was United captain and centre-half Danny Livesey who took home two awards, one of those being the top prize of the Player of the Season (sponsored by Scottish and Newcastle) and the other being the BBC Radio Cumbria player of the season.

Marc Bridge-Wilkinson and Chris Lumsdon shared the Peter Jackson player of the season trophy, with both midfielders having an equal number of man-of-the-match awards from this season's home games. Back in the defensive line was right-back David Raven who took one prize on the night, that being the coveted Players' Player of the Season trophy.

In the youth ranks striker Gary Madine won the trophy for youth player of the season and goalkeeper Alex Mitchell grabbed the award as most improved youth player. United chairman Andrew Jenkins also presented club doctor John Howarth, who has retired his post at the end of this season after 17 years in the job, with a commerative decanter.

Left-winger Simon Hackney taking the only other trophy that was available, that being the Goal of the season award that was voted for on the night by those present. Hackney's strike in the 3-1 home win over Leeds in early November ending up as the clear winner of the five contenders.
