The 24-year old ex-Walsall hitman scooped six awards on a thoroughly enjoyable awards evening. Hawley won the top prize on the night as he was voted Fans' Player of the Year, the 26-goal striker also taking home the inaugral CUFC Online Player of the Season tankard, London Branch Supporters' Player of the Year and Man of the Season for receiving the most man-of-the-match awards from sponsors at United's home games. League Two's joint top scorer also received an award for scoring back-to-back hat-tricks against Stockport then Torquay, and yet another gong, this time a special achievement award for twice being named Player of the Month, as well being named Player of the Year for League Two.

Right-back Paul Arnison picked up two prizes, winning the Most Improved Player of the Year award and the Players' Player of the Year prize, skipper Kevin Gray casting the winning vote for Arnison to split a dead-heat between "Arni" and Hawley.

Michael Bridges was another player to pick up a brace of awards, winning the goal of the season prize for his 25-yard volley against Northampton in March, the award being voted for on the night. The one-time Sunderland star also took home the Junior Blues' Player of the Year prize.

Other winners on the evening included Zigor Aranalde (Blues Lotto Player of the Year), youth team glovesman Adam Bradley (Most Improved YTS Player), Chris Billy (Away Supporters' Player of the Year) and goalkeeper Keiren Westwood who was presented with an award for keeping 20 clean sheets, along with number two Anthony Williams, over the course of the season.

United's board of directors gave a combined award to the Cumbrians' coaching staff for their efforts this season and Maryport-born striker Glenn Murray received his own special prize on the night from the club. Murray being presented with an inflatable dolphin in honour of Marra, the dolphin which made it's home in the West Cumbrian port earlier this year.

Club owner Fred Story was also presented with a cheque for £2,500 from Cumbrian Newspapers' Readers' Travel department, a contribution from the fans' travel packages for the Football League Trophy Final at the Millennium Stadium.
