Berrett Signs On For Brunton Stay

Last updated : 02 July 2012 By Thetashkentterror

With the start of pre-season training looming large later this week for the United squad, Berrett, who was one of the three players to have verbally agreed a fresh deal with the Cumbrians, has today put pen to paper on his two year contract. The 23-year old's signature meaning that, with Lubomir Michalik, Tom Taiwo and Francois Zoko all having left Brunton Park, Peter Murphy and Frank Simek are the only two players remaining to officially confirm their stays in Cumbria.

Berrett meanwhile, signed from Huddersfield in early July 2010, has made 103 starts for the Blues, as well as weighing in with a hefty 20 goals over just two seasons. His new deal, along with Taiwo's departure meaning that there is probably only one space, alongside Liam Noble and Paul Thirlwell left in the United engine room ranks for this season. While elsewhere it's also good news for CUFC Online messageboarders who have sponsored James during the last two years.
