Saddlers manager Richard Money spoke to the official Walsall website and the Express and Star about the 1-1 draw against United at Banks's Stadium yesterday afternoon :

"I'm really pleased, again, that we've turned a period of adversity into our advantage and I thought there were a lot of good performances in the second half. Without getting carried away it was quite encouraging. I think the three of them, our so-called Dad's Army, showed everyone exactly what they're about.

"We know full well they will need a rest at certain times of the year and we will need to bring them off at certain times. But Tommy Mooney has great experience and Danny Sonner is the same. It was a great finish from Tommy and he might have got a second with a bit of luck.

"I think it's very encouraging that throughout the pre-season and in the first match in a new division we've finished every game as the stronger side. I am pleased that we have been able to turn a period of adversity to our advantage.

"There were a lot of good performances in the second half against a side who I fully expect to be in the top six come the end of the season. Without getting carried away, it was quite encouraging and we will be looking to build upon this."
