Cobblers boss Stuart Gray talked to his club's official website about Northampton's 1-0 win over Carlisle at Sixfields, Gray pleased with the performance of Town goalkeeper Chris Dunn :

"I thought we deserved our win. I felt we deserved a second goal and that would have allowed us to relax a little at the end. We hit the woodwork twice but we couldn't quite get that second goal to kill them off, but overall I thought we were deserved winners.

"They had one real chance, but their lad was on his heels and missed and I think we deserved that break. We looked tighter defensively than at Scunthorpe last week, and that was pleasing. We are in decent shape at the moment.

"I make the decisions and I thought we had an opportunity to kill them off by moving Kyle Walker to full-back and doing the same with Danny Jackman. I wanted to go out and try to get the second goal, which we looked like we would get every time we went forward."

"There are a lot of points to go for in the next couple of weeks but I am pleased we are going into Christmas with a squad that is fully fit, Chris Doig apart. Bayo (Adebayo Akinfenwa) came on and looked strong. His fitness is good, he just needs match time out on the field. He will play in a behind closed doors reserve friendly on Monday and hopefully that will do him good.

"Chris Doig is possibly a couple of weeks away yet from playing for the first team. He is back in training but we need to monitor him and see how he goes. Chris Dunn deserved his clean sheet. He commanded his box well, his kicking was good and he looked confident. The clean sheet was good for him, good for the defenders and I think we defended well as a team today."
