United midfielder Simon Hackney spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Saturday evening as he gave his thoughts on the game at home to Brighton. Hackney commenting on the amount of travelling the lads have done recently :

" The header was straight in I'm telling you, I'm not lying, being a religious man I don't lie I can tell you. We know we are capable of beating teams if we play at our best and the first-half performance we got at them, got down the lines and got some good balls in and managed to get the two goals. The second-half was a bit of a grind out to be honest, some games are going to be like that though.

" I don't think we thought we had it won, they were always going to come out and try and get at us in the second-half. I don't know if it was us being tired or anything like that, I'm not making any excuses but we're much better than that definitely, hopefully next time we can get the football going again.

" We have travelled a lot and tired legs are going to sink in, we've worked hard and I think we've done Cumbria quite proud to be quite honest with you with the football we have been playing. We just need to carry it on for Tuesday night's game, three points in the bag is all that matters really.

" I always knew we had a good team and a good bunch of players, but 17 points out of ten games is a fantastic start for someone who has just got promoted last year. It's a pat on the back for the lads and everyone around. "
