O's striker Simon Church spoke to the official Leyton Orient website about scoring his debut goal in his loan spell from Reading, Church thanking another loanee, in Chelsea's Jimmy Smith, for his part in the set-up :

" I'm over the moon, obviously I'm really pleased with my goal. It's my first in five games, and it was getting me down that I hadn't scored. Now I've done it, hopefully there'll be more to come. It was all about the set-up by Jimmy Smith. He's absolutely done the left back (Michael Liddle), and when he's seen me and played the perfect ball across, I couldn't really miss.

" It's a massive result for us. The way we came here and the way we set out was to come for three points and nothing less. I think that showed through how well we played and the chances we made. For our second goal, we made 23 passes, everyone touched the ball and then we scored. It just shows how well everyone's done today.

" There were times in the game when we were under pressure, but we got over that and we kept the ball brilliantly once we got going. We created chances as well and could have had more really. We're up to 17th now and the morale is really high. But we've got to let this one go and focus on winning at Stockport on Saturday. "
